Foster's to sell its collection of Australian paintings

Foster's recently made a decision to sell its art collection as it is no longer seen as a strategic fit for a premium beverages company.

Sotheby's has been appointed to auction Foster's collection, which has been described as the most significant corporate collection ever to come to auction in Australia.

The historic auction will take place in Melbourne on 23 May following an extensive national touring exhibition taking in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Please see public viewing details below.

Further information about Sotheby's and the auction is available on their website, http://www.sothebys.com/ or you can call them on +61 3 9509 2900 or email:australia@sothebys.com

Foster's is confident that the sale of the artwork will deliver an excellent outcome for its shareholders and for members of the Australian public.
