The Foster's Sports Foundation Gold rush continued when Bill Kirby swam the race of his life to join teammates Michael Klim, Ian Thorpe and Todd Pearson on the winning podium after victory in the Men's 4 x 200m Freestyle relay.
The 24-year-old fulfilled his Olympic dream after last year winning Gold at the Pan Pacific's and the Australian Short Course title.
In winning the Gold medal the Australian team knocked an astounding 1.74 seconds off the world record mark they set at the Pan Pacific championships in the same pool last year.
Kirby's Gold takes the medal tally for the Foster's Sports Foundation athletes to five.
Andrew Hoy, Phillip Dutton, Matt Ryan and Stuart Tinney have won Gold in the three day Equestrian Team event, a Silver to the Foundation's Director Russell Mark in the Double Trap Shoot. Bronze to Annemarie Forder in the Women's 10m Air Pistol contest and 200m Butterfly champion Justin Norris collected a further Bronze in the pool on Day 4.
