NAPA, California, March 28, 2008 - Foster's Wine Estates announced that it has
entered into an agreement with Wattle Creek Winery to market and sell their
wines in the United States, effective March 1, 2008. Foster's will focus on Wattle
Creek's Mendocino Sauvignon Blanc and "Triple Play" Mendocino Rhone Blend.
The agreement compliments an existing relationship between Foster's and
Wattle Creek owner Chris Williams to market and sell his premium grape-based
Boomerang Vodka, imported from Australia. The Wattle Creek wines will be
aligned with Foster's Beringer Estates (BE) portfolio selling team, who also
represent Boomerang Vodka.
Established in 1994 by native Australians Chris Williams and his wife Kristine,
Wattle Creek Winery is situated on a 56-acre property in Alexander Valley in
northern Sonoma County, California. Michael Scholz, Wattle Creek winemaker,
describes the wines as "Australian essence combined with the California style."
Wattle Creek Winery has a tasting room at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco.
