Ari Mervis
Managing Director, SABMiller Asia Pacific and Chief Executive Officer of Foster's

Ari Mervis was appointed Managing Director of SABMiller Asia Pacific and Chief Executive Officer of Foster’s on 16 December 2011. He joined The South African Breweries Limited's soft drinks division, Amalgamated Beverages Industries Ltd, in 1989 and has held various senior positions in sales, marketing, finance and general management. He has been Managing Director of Swaziland Bottling Company and Appletiser as well as Managing Director of SABMiller operations in Russia and Australia. Ari is based in Melbourne.

Mike Walsh
Director Finance

Mike Walsh was appointed as Finance Director of Foster's on 16 December 2011. Mike is a 17 year veteran of SABMiller, and has worked in a number of finance roles across Eastern Europe and most recently as Finance Director of our business in the Czech Republic. Mike is a Chartered accountant, and holds a Masters In Business Administration from Manchester Business School.

Anton Van Heerden
Director Integration

Anton Van Heerden, Integration Director was appointed to Foster's executive team on 16 December 2011. Anton joins the business from SABMiller's Asia Hub where he was Supply Chain Director and prior to that he held senior roles in supply chain, operations and finance in SABMiller’s European operations.

Dan Last
General Counsel and Company Secretary

Dan joined Foster's in 2007 and was appointed to the position of Managing Counsel in 2009.

Prior to joining Foster's, Dan practised as a lawyer with Blake Dawson in Australia and Allen & Overy in the United Kingdom. Dan holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Grant Peck
Managing Director, Supply

Grant became Supply Director for Carlton United Brewers in 2009. He joined Foster's in 2004 as Finance Director for Beringer Blass Asia Pacific and has held Business Development and Supply Planning roles.

Grant spent 5 years in Chartered Accounting with Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC) before joining Lion Nathan. In 9 years at Lion Nathan, he worked in Senior Finance, Sales and Strategic Planning Roles. Prior to Foster's, Grant spent four years at McCormick Foods, including time as CFO for Asia Pacific and Managing Director for the McCormick Industrial Products Group in Australia.

Paul Donaldson
Sales Director On Premise

Paul became Sales Director On Premise for Carlton United Brewers in 2011. After joining CUB in 2008, Paul became Group Marketing Manager, VB and Crown.

Prior to joining Foster's, Paul held Sales, Marketing and Corporate Strategy roles at Lion Nathan, and across the Schweppes, Red Bull, Gatorade, Solo and Cottee's brands at Cadbury Schweppes.

Paul holds a marketing degree, is a lecturer at RMIT and spent four years as a professional Australian Rules footballer at Collingwood FC.

Peter Filipovic
Sales Director Off Premise

Peter Filipovic became Sales Director Off Premise for Carlton United Brewers in 2011. Peter most recently held the position of Commercial Finance Director at Foster’s and prior to this was General Manager of Taxation. He has been employed with Foster’s since 1997 when he joined the company as a Taxation Adviser. Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and is also a Chartered Accountant.

Dean Matthews
Chief Information Officer

Dean joined Foster's in May 2011. As a proven international CIO, Dean holds a demonstrated track record in leading large scale organisational change, having managed major IT integrations, mergers and acquisitions and other complex and strategic projects.

He has previously held senior leadership roles with Transurban, Linfox and MLC/Lend Lease.

Dean started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force and holds a degree in Computer Science from Newcastle University. He holds post graduate management qualifications including the Advanced Management Program at Harvard. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Victorian Deaf Society.

Jeremy Griffith
Director Corporate Affairs

Jeremy joined Foster's Group from Visa, Singapore, where he held the role of Head of Corporate Relations - Asia Pacific. He has led Corporate Affairs teams at significant organisations including St George Bank in Australia, and has previously spent four years at CUB as the General Manager - Public & Government Relations.

He also held several advisor roles to Government Ministers.

James Doherty
Managing Director, International Beer Division

James Doherty brings to Foster's over twelve years' experience gained in the international drinks industry, primarily with William Grant and Sons Distillers where he held a variety of senior commercial roles across both established and emerging international markets. His most recent position was Managing Director, Developing Markets & Head of Quality Spirits International.
James is responsible for all Foster's international operations including North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the African and Eastern joint venture in the Middle East.
James commenced in the role in August 2011 and is based in London.

Andy Gibson
Chief Marketing Officer

With more than 20 years' consumer brands experience internationally, Andy brings a strong track record in building and transforming some of the world's best known alcoholic beverage brands.

He joined Foster's in November 2011 after 12 years with Diageo where he held various senior management/marketing roles in Europe, North and Latin America, Asia Pacific and Australia.

Most recently, he was General Manager of Diageo's Germany/Austria/Switzerland operations and, prior to that, was General Manager of Innovation based in Singapore.
