Ari Mervis
Managing Director, SABMiller Asia Pacific and Chief Executive Officer of Foster's

Ari Mervis was appointed Managing Director of SABMiller Asia Pacific and Chief Executive Officer of Foster's on 16 December 2011. He joined The South African Breweries Limited's soft drinks division, Amalgamated Beverages Industries Ltd, in 1989 and has held various senior positions in sales, marketing, finance and general management. He has been Managing Director of Swaziland Bottling Company and Appletiser as well as Managing Director of SABMiller operations in Russia and Australia. Ari is based in Melbourne.

 

Mike Walsh
Director Finance

Mike Walsh was appointed as Finance Director of CUB in December 2011. Mike is a 17-year veteran of SABMiller and has worked in a number of finance roles across Eastern Europe, most recently as Finance Director of our business in the Czech Republic. Mike is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Manchester Business School.

 

Peter Filipovic
Sales Director

Peter Filipovic was appointed to his current role in August 2012. Prior to this he has held various roles within the company, the most recent being Sales Director On Premise. Prior to this he held the position of Commercial Finance Director at CUB and previously was General Manager of Taxation. He has been employed with CUB for 16 years. Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and is also a Chartered Accountant.

 

Tanya Southey
Human Resources Director

Tanya joined CUB as the HR Director in October 2012. Prior to this Tanya was a Partner at strategic consulting firm, Sheldon Harris. She has also held executive roles at Jetstar Airways, General Electric, and was the Vice President of Human Resources for GE Money, Australia and New Zealand respectively. Tanya has international experience, having worked in the United States in a global role and in South Africa early in her career. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

Dan Last
General Counsel and Company Secretary

Dan Last has been with CUB for 6 years and was appointed to the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary in 2011. During his time at CUB, Dan has worked on the demerger of Treasury Wine Estates and implementation of the acquisition of Foster's Group by SABMiller. Prior to joining CUB, Dan practised as a lawyer with Ashurst in Australia and Allen & Overy in the UK. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

 

Jeremy Griffith
Director Corporate Affairs

Jeremy has over 20 years' experience in managing corporate and government relations. He has worked for both Federal and State Ministers in Australia, as well as working for Australian and multinational companies. He has led Corporate Affairs teams at significant organisations including St. George Bank in Australia, and has previously spent 4 years at CUB as the General Manager – Public & Government Relations. He joined CUB from Visa, Singapore, where he held the role of Head of Corporate Relations – Asia Pacific.

 

Anton Van Heerden
Director Integration

Anton Van Heerden has been with SABMiller for 15 years. He was appointed to CUB's executive team in December 2011 as Integration Director. Anton joins the business from SABMiller's Asia Hub where he was Supply Chain Director. He previously held senior roles in supply chain, operations and finance in SABMiller's European operations.

 

Peter McLoughlin
Strategy and Capability Director, acting Marketing Director

Peter was appointed to his current role in 2012. He has been with the SABMiller group for 22 years, holding various roles in the South African business including a six-year tenure as Marketing Director, then moving onto Latin America as Senior VP for Sales and Distribution. In 2008 Peter moved to Australia and was appointed CEO of Pacific Beverages, an SABMiller JV. Peter holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.

 

Grant Peck
Managing Director, Supply

Grant has been with CUB for 9 years. He became Supply Director for CUB in 2009. He spent five years in Chartered Accounting with Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC) before joining Lion Nathan. In nine years there, he worked in senior roles. Prior to CUB, Grant spent four years at McCormick Foods, including time as CFO for Asia Pacific and Managing Director for the McCormick Industrial Products Group in Australia.

 

Dean Matthews
Chief Information Officer

Dean joined CUB in May 2011 and has experience in leading large scale organisational change, having managed major IT integrations and acquisition projects. He has previously held senior leadership roles with Transurban, Linfox and MLC/Lend Lease. Dean started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force. He and holds a degree in Computer Science and post-graduate management qualifications including the Advanced Management Program at Harvard. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Victorian Deaf Society.
